PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide photographic frame image processing technique for outputting a plurality of photographic frame image prints that does not lower the value of each used photographic frame image as a photograph as much as possible.

SOLUTION: Disclosed is a photographic frame image processing apparatus which generates print data for outputting a plurality of photographic frame image prints having a plurality of photographic frame images formed on a print recording medium of prescribed size. The number of photographic frame images formed on one printed recording medium is calculated and a standard size of the formed photographic frame images is determined; when a face area is detected in a photographic frame image, a face area overlap degree evaluation unit 54a evaluates a degree of face area overlapping by another photographic frame image on the basis of face detection information and when the degree of overlapping exceeds a set level, the layout of one photographic frame image is adjusted.
