<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the moving speed of a moving portion by lowering the profile. <P>SOLUTION: A drive device (20) includes an electromechanical transducer (441) having first and second ends facing each other in the expansion/contraction direction, a stationary member (442) coupled to first end of the electromechanical transducer, an oscillatory frictional portion (443) fixed to second end of the electromechanical transducer, and a rodlike moving portion (423) being coupled frictionally with the oscillatory frictional portion, and allows the rodlike moving portion to move in the expansion/contraction direction of the electromagnetic tranducer.
