<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a swivel joint which prevents fluid transfer channels for a coolant, an operating oil, a drain oil, etc., from being affected by dust, impurities, etc. in the fluid, maintains high sealing efficiency, and facilitates exchange thereof from outside if necessary. <P>SOLUTION: The swivel joint is arranged between a forward/backward rotatable wrist portion mounted in a main body section of an industrial robot, and a work device, and provided with the fluid transfer channels tying between the wrist portion and the work device. The fluid transfer channels are formed of hoses which are spirally and loosely wound on a shaft portion rotatable together with the wrist portion, at locations between the wrist portion and the work device. Further one end of each hose is fixed so as to be immovable with respect to the shaft portion while the other end is fixed so as to be movable according to motion of the shaft portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
