<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a video of excellent quality even when irradiated with outside light. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 34 of a color liquid crystal display device is provided with: an opening control part 345 for controlling an opening for every pixel of a liquid crystal display panel; a light emission control part 344 for controlling light quantities of emission light of a first prescribed number of LEDs 21 disposed in a backlight light source; an outside light detecting part 342 for detecting an light quantity of the outside light emitted from an external part via the liquid crystal display panel; and a correction value computing part 343 for computing correcting values correcting light quantities of emission light of the first prescribed number of LEDs 21 and the opening degrees of the liquid crystal display panel based on the light quantity of the external light detected by the external light detecting part 342 via the opening control part 345 and the light emission control part 344. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
