<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction engaging device, an automatic transmission, a front-rear wheel driving force distribution device and a right-left wheel driving force distribution device capable of reducing dispersion of friction characteristics in a friction engaging element. <P>SOLUTION: In the friction engaging device 1 capable of engaging separator plates 2 and friction plates 3 using a friction force by letting a pressing force generated by a pressing force generation means 4 work on the plurality of separator plates 2 and the plurality of friction plates 3 which are arranged alternatively along an axial direction, the plurality of separator plates 2 are set so that separator plates 2 at a side on which the pressing force works have a larger volume than other separator plates 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
