<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which is inexpensive and friendly to a visually handicapped person and can guide a correct error release processing. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus 1, a main body 3 equipped with a paper tray 4 for storing paper 2 is provided with a conveying means 5 conveying the paper 2 taken out from the paper tray 4 to the outside of the main body 3, and an image forming means 6 arranged on the conveying means 5 and forming an image on the paper 2 inside, and the main body 3 is equipped with covers 7 and 8 opening the conveying means 5 to the outside.
