<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distributed multimedia server system, capable of easily attaining expansion of a disk server. <P>SOLUTION: The distributed multimedia server system 10 includes a buffer server and a disk server mutually connected by a cluster-to-cluster connecting network 51. The buffer server BS1 manages the number (two) of disk servers used thereby and the order of disk servers DS1 and DS2. After addition of DS3, the buffer server BS2 manages the number, three units of disk servers used thereby and the order of disk servers DS1, DS2, and DS3. Each of the buffer servers BS1 and BS2 circularly transfers multimedia information received from a terminal to disk servers of the number managed by itself in the order managed by itself, and each disk server accumulates the multimedia information transferred from the buffer server in a disk. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
