PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing terminal metal fittings wherein safety of an operation is improved during manufacture of the terminal metal fittings with low friction and sulfurization-resistance and an environmental load is reduced and a self-assembled monolayer is formed. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the terminal metal fittings has a process wherein the self-assembling monolayer is formed on a sliding face 1 by bringing organic solvent solution of a self-assembling monolayer material into contact with the sliding face 1 sliding with the terminal metal fitting of a counter-connector when fitted to the counter-connector.
