<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular headlight which can realize various light-distribution patterns while the least number of lamp units are to constitute the headlight and is of compact size at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: In the headlight including light-concentrating lamp units LUH2 and LUL3 and light-diffusion type lamp units LUH1, LUL1, and LUL2, using LEDs as a light source, the headlight has a light-distribution control means PCNT for turning on light by selecting at least a part of a plurality of lamp units and controlling a light volume of a part of the selected lamp units. The light volume of the selected lamp units is controlled by a turning-on-light volume control sections CH1 to CL3, and a desired light-distribution pattern is formed by compound light of the controlled lamp units.
