<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor in which a protruding amount of a motor shaft outwardly protruded from the reference surface of a housing can easily be adjusted. <P>SOLUTION: In the electric motor, a bearing is arranged in each of a pair of bearing accommodation parts formed in the housing and the motor shaft is rotatably supported by the bearing. This motor is characterized in that inner rings of the pair of bearings are fixed to the external periphery of the motor shaft, and outer rings of the bearings are movably arranged in the bearing accommodation parts in the axial direction of the motor shaft. This electric motor also includes an energization means which energizes the motor shaft at each bearing so that the shaft end of the motor shaft can be protruded outward from the reference surface formed at the housing, and a regulation mechanism which regulates the protruding amount of the motor shaft protruded outward from the reference surface by this energization. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
