PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate the degree of the clogging of an injection hole of an exhaust gas passage fuel injection valve while securing reliability against a failure and estimation accuracy, and inhibiting an increase in cost.

SOLUTION: The degree of the clogging of the injection hole of the exhaust gas passage fuel injection valve is estimated (S12) based on the fluctuation situation of the rotation speed of an engine and pressure in a common rail during the injection of fuel from the exhaust passage fuel injection valve.
