<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device integrated with a peripheral driving circuit, the device that shows high contrast even when the device has no transparent electrode, can be mass-produced with a simple step, and is bright with a large opening ratio, and to provide a method for manufacturing the device. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device, gate lines 102, 105 and common lines 103, 104 are first simultaneously formed; and after an interlayer film is formed, pixel electrodes 108, common electrodes 110, 111 and source lines 106, 107 are simultaneously formed. Thereby, an electrode pattern can be simplified and steps can be simplified. The wires and electrodes present in a layer nearest to the liquid crystal layer are defined as pixel electrodes, common electrodes and source lines in a simplified form. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
