<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation apparatus that allows a part having a microcomputer achieving a navigation function to be attached to or detached from a body, namely a base unit, for improving ease of use, and increases the size of a display as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: The navigation device has the base unit 10, that can be fixed to a vehicle freely and has at least a microcomputer, and a front panel unit 14 detachably attachable to the base unit and having a display (liquid crystal panel) 14b for displaying map data and a microcomputer having a navigation function for causing the located vehicle position to be displayed on the map data. In the navigation apparatus, the front of the front panel unit 14 is composed to have the same size as the attachment/detachment surface of the base unit 10, and not more than 70% of the lateral length of the front panel unit 14 is set to be a display. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
