<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation apparatus that allows a part, namely the main body, having a microcomputer achieving a navigation function to be attached to or detached from a cradle unit for improving ease of use, and attaches the dashboard of the vehicle easily for preventing a feeling of wrongness from being generated also in terms of appearance. <P>SOLUTION: The navigation apparatus having a front panel unit at least comprises: a display 14b that can be fixed to a vehicle B freely and freely attached to or detached from a cradle unit 12 having at least a microcomputer, and displays map data; and the microcomputer achieving a navigation function for displaying the position of the vehicle located on map data. In this case, a panel 32b is integrally formed at the lower end of the cradle unit.
