PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform easily and permanently salinity control of miso soup or the like in a home. SOLUTION: In this salinity measuring device 10 having an egg-shaped measuring device body 100 for measuring and displaying a salinity concentration in miso soup or the like, and a measuring device body holder 200 having a bowl-shaped holding part 210 capable of holding the measuring device body 100, the measuring device body 100 is held by the bowl-shaped holding part 210 in the state where a prescribed amount of liquid food (for example, miso soup) 300 is put into the bowl-shaped holding part 210, and thereby salinity in the miso soup 300 is measured and displayed. The measuring device body 100 has a pair of electrodes 111, 112, a salinity concentration measuring part for measuring the salinity concentration in the miso soup 300 based on the magnitude of a current value between the pair of electrodes 111, 112, a display part 120 having a function for displaying a measurement result acquired by measurement by the salinity concentration measuring part, by means of light emission by a light emitting means, and a display control part having a function for controlling the light emitting means based on the measurement result.
