<p>The accumulator has a carriage with drums at horizontal axis to form a hairpin loop having two parallel horizontal strands. The carriage cooperates mechanically with fixed doors (1) having vertical beams (2) situated on both sides of a trajectory of band. The doors have removable horizontal arms (3) for supporting the strands so that each door is opened by automatic separation of the arms in a horizontal plane to permit passage of carriage. The beams are mounted in a rotating manner around their axis on a chassis (8), only at base and not maintained at upper end of the beams.</p> |
