The method involves selecting a service to be transmitted to a target communication terminal (2). Fragments/parts of fragments of an electronic service guide (ESG) of a source terminal (1) i.e. mobile communication terminal, corresponding to the service to be transmitted are identified. The fragments/parts of fragments of ESG are transmitted to the target communication terminal, where the fragments/parts of fragments are personalized due to origination of data specific to a profile of a user from the terminal (1). An electronic service guide of the target communication terminal is updated. An independent claim is also included for a source terminal provided with an electronic service guide.
