A radiation sensitive composition for forming a colored layer, a color filter using the composition, a colored LCD device containing the color filter, and a method for preparing an alkali-soluble resin are provided to prevent the deterioration of residual film rate or the undercut of pattern even in case of low exposure and to improve solvent resistance and the adhesion to a substrate. A radiation sensitive composition comprises a colorant; an alkali-soluble resin which comprises a polymer comprising at least one selected from an acidic functional group and an acid anhydride group, a repeating unit represented by the formula 1 and a group represented by the formula 2; a multifunctional monomer; and a photopolymerization initiator, wherein R7 is a C1-C12 alkyl group or a C6-C12 aryl group; X is an n-valent organic group; R8 is a methylene group or a C2-C6 alkylene group; n is an integer of 2-10; and * is a valence bound. |
