<p>A method for allocating power for high speed downlink packet access and a mobile communications system using the same are provided to determine power which is allocated to a channel for a HSDPA according to a traffic channel within a cell among a base station and a radio network controller. The loading rate of cell is measured(S420). Power is allocated to high speed down packet access channel of the cell(S440) by using power which one of the base station and radio network controller provides according to the measured loading rate(S430). The loading rate includes one of traffic channel occupying ratio of the cell and orthogonal variation spreading occupying ratio.</p> |
