<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method of a diesel rail-car and a device therefor capable of holding stably a constant low-speed running at the time of changing over from the up-grade to down-grade running or vice versa. <P>SOLUTION: The driving method for the diesel rail-car equipped with a power transmitting device whereby the power from a power source is transmitted to a geared shift mechanism 17 through a torque converter 4 is furnished with a slipping clutch 3 installed on the input side of the torque converter 4 and a wet type multi-disc brake 18 installed on the output side and further with a controlling means which controls actuating means for the slipping clutch 3 and the multi-disc brake 18 on the basis of the rotating speed of the output shaft 40 of the geared shift mechanism 17, and at the time of up-grade running of the diesel rail-car, the actuating means for the slipping clutch 3 is controlled in the condition that a braking torque of a prescribed minute value is applied by the multi-disc brake 18, and at down-grade running, the actuating means for the brake 18 is controlled in the condition that a driving torque of a prescribed minute value is transmitted by the slipping clutch 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
