<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aqueous dispersion of an organic compound which has low viscosity even in high concentration, improved long-term preservation stability and excellent film-forming properties in drying of a coating using the aqueous dispersion and a coating, an adhesive or a treating agent for fiber processing, comprising the aqueous dispersion. <P>SOLUTION: The aqueous dispersion comprises the organic compound (A) and an aqueous medium and has one peak in a particle diameter distribution curve in which the peak has 50-500% coefficient of variation.
