The device includes a pointer having a lead weight attached to an end opposite the pointer. The pointer and weight is mounted in a casing which includes oil for damping pointer movement. The casing is transparent and has a scale. The device is mounted within a level device and may be illuminated for better visibility. Further embodiments show means to indicate an angle in two orthogonal directions (figure 4) and an arrangement wherein "gearing" is provided between the pointer and weight (figures 5 and 6). |
