The housing (1) has a housing part (7) such as inner part and upper shell, and another housing part i.e. lower shell ( 9), where the housing parts are formed from thermosetting plastic material in sections. The housing parts are coated with a thermosetting plastic body (11) or thermoplastic body, such that housing parts and individual components of the housing parts are in contact with the thermosetting plastic body or the thermoplastic body. One of the housing parts partially provides a spiral inner contour and/or a compressor channel. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a plastic compressor housing.
