A system information reception method capable of initially entering a communication system is provided to acquire system information about other communication systems through the entered communication system and to enter other communication systems through the acquired system information. The frequency band of the first communications system is searched and FCH(frame control header) including the first information which indicates whether to support a second communication system is receives(S60). The system information about the second communications system is received in case of receiving the first information indicating the support of the second communications system.
