A method of safe stopping of a vehicle after engine starting using a smart key is provided to detect weakness of communication with a smart key and stop a vehicle by safely locking a door. A method of safely stopping a vehicle after engine starting using a smart key comprises a step of turning off an engine after a vehicle stops with an engine off; a step of monitoring whether the smart key is disengaged from a smart key groove; a step of monitoring whether a signal of a brake pedal is input within a specific time; a step of turning ON the engine, with the smart key not being mounted in the smart key groove; a step of locking the door in case the driver gets off carrying the smart key, with the door unlocked; and a step of detecting a smart key releasing in case a driver carrying the smart key approaches a vehicle. |
