A health food composition comprising the red ginseng acidic polysaccharide and Chinese matrimony vine extract is provided to improve hyperlipidemia by reducing the concentration of the cholesterol and neutral lipid in endogenous hyperlipidemia. The nutraceutical composition having the hyperlipidemia improvement function contains the red ginseng acidic polysaccharide and Chinese matrimony vine extract, and is comprised of the red ginseng acidic polysaccharide(RGAP) and Lycii Fructus(Lycium chinense) extracts, wherein the red ginseng acidic polysaccharide is the acidic polysaccharide separated from the Ginseng Radix rubra, containing 41.6-60.0 mole% of glucuronic acid, 2.5-7.5 mole% of galacturonic acid, 18.8-33.4 mole% of glucose and 1.1-2.1 mole% of arabinose, and having the molecular weight of 12,000 to 450,000.
