A switch includes metal housing parts 34, 50 bonded together and electrically insulated from each other by a gasket 51 coated with thermosetting adhesive. Gasket 51 is disposed between part 50 and opposed outward flanges (48, Fig. 2, and) 49 on part 34. flanges 49 being bent to clampingly engage part 50 and gasket 51 extending inwardly beyond bent flanges 49 so as to insulate parts 50, 34. A thermally responsive contact carrying snap acting member 40 mounted on part 34 co-operates with a contact 54 mounted on part 50 as in the parent Specification. An overtravel stop 36 is provided on part 34. Contact 54 is mounted on a set of weld projections (52a or 52b, Fig. 4). The switch is inserted in an insulating sleeve. 60. |
