A plasma display panel is provided to reduce the manufacturing cost and simplifying the manufacturing process by not forming the additional black-stripe layer. A plasma display panel comprises the first substrate(10) and the second substrate(20), the address electrode(12), the sign electrodes(21,22), the dielectric layer(28), the protective film(29), the partition(16), and the filter(30). The first substrate and the second substrate are separately arranged to be face each other. The address electrode is extended and formed on the first substrate to the first direction. The sign electrode is extended and formed to the second direction intersecting the first direction on the second substrate. The dielectric layer is formed by covering the sign electrode. The protective film is formed by covering the dielectric layer. The protective film is colored with the first color. The partition is arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate. The partition defines each discharge cell. The filter is adhered on the second substrate. The filter is colored by the second color which has the subtraction color relation with the first color. |
