A coding method of an image using the inter color compensation and an apparatus thereof, and a decoding method and an apparatus thereof are provided to improve the coding efficiency of an image by removing correlation of residual image generated through inter color compensation. A predicted block of the encoded current block of the rest second chrominance component image is generated by using the reference block of the first chrominance component image which is restored after encoding more than two chrominance component images(610). The first residual block is generated by calculating the difference of the predicted block of the second chrominance component image(620). The adjacent pixels of the current block of the second chrominance component image is predicted by using the adjacent pixels of the reference block of the first chrominance component image(630).
