Marking method for fruit uses a CO 2 laser (H) to cut marks into its skin showing its weight or quality, as determined by investigation units (B -E). The marks are then sealed. An independent claim is included for a machine for carrying out the method which is fitted with a cleaning and drying unit (G), sealing unit (I) and optionally a labeling unit (F), as well as the laser. All of these, together with the investigation units, are controlled by a central computer. |
