A bearing sleeve for supporting a rod 17 within a cylindrical housing 16 comprises a sleeve 10 of moulded plastics material and a corrugated spring ring 11 moulded into the sleeve and disposed in a radial plane of the sleeve, the arrangement being such that when the sleeve is in position between the rod and cylindrical housing the inward corrugations 15 of the ring bias spaced portions 14 of the inner surface of the sleeve into contact with the rod, whereby bearing contact of the sleeve with the rod is maintained during wear of the sleeve and radial movement of the rod relative to the housing is cushioned by the resilience of the corrugated spring ring. |
