The element (1) has channels (4, 7, 8, 17) for allowing a heat transfer and/or cooling medium e.g. air, to flow via the channels. The channels are configured to be open to the outside, turned to a wall on a boundary surface (11) that faces the wall when attached to the wall. The channel (4) extends from an upper boundary surface (5) to a lower boundary surface (6) in one of lateral boundary surfaces (9, 10). The channel (4) is arranged in one of the lateral surfaces such that the medium flows between the channel (4) and another cladding element that is in alignment with the element (1).
