<p>A retainer and insert assembly used to repair a damaged end of a crankshaft. The assembly includes an insert, which is applied directly on the damaged region of the crankshaft and has a cylindrical bushing having a rubber seal layer, wherein the bushing includes a vulcanized interior surface. A retainer is disposed around the insert and which sealing contacts the bushing. A mounting and centralization device centers and mounts the insert and retainer on the crankshaft.</p> |
