An advertisement data output control system for an IPTV and a method thereof are provided to access local advertisement necessary to a user easily, and supply advertisement at only necessary areas which are limited for the advertisement by an advertiser, thereby providing the advertisement at relatively lower costs. A broadcast data transmission server(8) transmits broadcast data including advertisement data to an STB(Set-Top Box) through a broadcast connection network. The STB searches and extracts advertisement code among broadcast data transmitted by the broadcast data transmission server, and performs automatic session setting by predetermined URL through the internet network to transmit the code and STB number so as to request local advertisement data. An advertisement output control server(10) receives local advertisement request registration from terminals of advertisers, receives and divides the code and STB number from the STB into local bands, and extracts and transmits local advertisement data transmitted to a corresponding STB to the STB.
