A pneumatically operated bottle gripper has fingers 3, Fig. 1, of resilient plastics material which are pushed inwards to grip a bottle K by a sloping face 8 on a sleeve 7. The fingers are integral with a piston 4 and when compressed air is admitted through a bore in the piston rod 11 the sleeve 7, which is also of plastics material, is pushed upwards against a spring 17. The latter also serves to resiliently mount the device on a lifting frame 2. In a second embodiment, Fig. 2, guide ribs 20 are provided between the fingers 3<SP>1</SP>.</p> |
