The vehicle has a fascia (4) making a surface to a front seat (13) behind which a rear seat is provided. A storage module (1) is pivotingly mounted around a rotation axis (R1) with respect to the fascia from a retracted position in which the module (1) is partially housed in a storage space (2) and to a deployed position in which the module is situated adjacent to the front seat by being accessible to an occupant of the rear seat. The rotation axis of the module with respect to the fascia is parallel to a floor pan of a passenger compartment and transverse to the vehicle. The storage module moves between the retracted position and the deployed position in which the module is accessible to the occupant of rear seat of the vehicle, without utilizing rails, thus reducing displacement cost of the module, while permitting the occupants to pass from the front seat to the rear seat in a easy manner.
