The system has portable and autonomous processing units e.g. portable computer (2), comprising a pattern recognition software for interpretation of images generated by a camera (10). A speech recognition software is provided for interpretation of signals generated by a microphone (12). A database concerning organization, function and operations is conducted on an equipment (3), and a visual information generating software generates visual information to assist an operator and to compare information provided to the operator and actions carried out by the operator.
