The method involves identifying a family of data received from identifying elements deployed in a building out of three families by comparing the data to reference data of each family. The received data is stored in the respective data family. The families are a part family comprising data relative to the definition of a part e.g. assembly hall, an equipment family comprising data relative to furniture e.g. conference table, information technology materials and partitions, and a person badge family comprising data relative to a person e.g. employee.
