A power line communication modem is provided to set a group automatically and simply when a user presses a push button equipped in the PLC modem, thereby being safely used by simply blocking the invasion from different spaces. A PLC modem comprises a PLC modem main body case(100) and a button(110) which is placed at one side of the main body case to automatically set a security group. If a user pushes the button, a use group is automatically set between PLC modems which the user wants to set as the group. Therefore, the invasion from different spaces can be blocked.
