The vehicle has a chassis (100) including lifting units (300) for displacing rails (500) between down and up positions. Crossbeams handling units (400) have gripping and rotating units for rotating and displacing underlying railway crossbeams (600) between inactive and active positions, where the gripping and rotating units are confounded. The crossbeams are arranged at the top of the rails in up position and non-transversal to the rails, in the inactive position. The crossbeams are arranged under the rails in down position and transversal to the rails, in the active position. An independent claim is also included for a method for positioning and removing railway crossbeams.
