PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer particle having small temperature dependency (especially temperature dependency at a relatively high temperature such as 100°C or above) of mechanical properties (e.g. elastic modulus) to enable the reduction of the degradation of the mechanical properties by temperature change even in the case of using as a filler, a modifier, etc., of various rubbers and thermoplastic resins and mixing with the rubbers, etc. SOLUTION: The polymer particles are produced by polymerizing a polymerizable monomer at least containing a crosslinking monomer and a carboxy-containing monomer, followed by treating with an alkali after the polymerization of the polymerizable monomers.
