<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device for efficiently transferring a sample in a gel to a membrane as a biomolecule analyzing method using electrophoresis. <P>SOLUTION: The transfer device is constituted so as to move a substance to be transferred contained in a first medium to a second medium and equipped with a voltage applying means for applying voltage to the first medium. The voltage applying means is characterized in that at least either one of the voltage applied to a certain position on the first medium and a voltage applying time is differentiated at least at either one of the certain position and another different position. For example, the transfer device 10, a first electrode 11 and a second electrode 12 are formed into a stripe form and respectively divided into a plurality of regions having different potentials.
