<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for tissue repair and a method for tissue repair, in particular, a catheter capable of transmitting electromagnetic radiation (for instance, ultraviolet light) to the distal end, and a method for using the catheter capable of transmitting electromagnetic radiation (for instance, ultraviolet light) to the distal end. <P>SOLUTION: A single-lumen catheter is provided, which includes at least a source for supplying electromagnetic radiation arranged on the wall of the catheter.
