<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress dilution of engine oil with fuel. <P>SOLUTION: In a vehicle 10 equipped with an engine 200 having an injector 212 of the direct-fuel-injection type, the ECU 100 can set any operating point of the engine 200 by controlling the CVT 300. Further, the ECU 100 can calculate the quantity of diluting fuel (S) representing the quantity of dilution of engine oil with fuel. Usually, the ECU 100 sets the operating point of the engine 200 on the optimum fuel consumption operating point of the optimum fuel consumption line MVsfc, but in a process to implement dilution suppressing control, the ECU 100 selects one control map according to the quantity of diluting fuel (S) among a plurality of preset control maps of the engine 200 and sets the operating point on the operational line corresponding to the selected control map.
