<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of reducing noise. <P>SOLUTION: A side wall 75 is disposed with a gap held between it and a first guide member 71, a second guide member 72, a third guide member 73, a first opposed member 74, a second opposed member 76 and a lower frame 77. As a result, a flow passage 90 is formed between an inside surface 75a and the members, and an aperture 95 is formed at the bottom part of the image forming apparatus between the lower frame 77 and the side wall 75. Paper P which is started to be conveyed by a second pull-in roll 53 and loosened by a second loosening mechanism 54 is conveyed to a second conveying roll 55. In such a case, air around the paper P is drawn, whereby air flow shown by an arrow C in figure is generated. The paper P conveyed to the second conveying roll 55 is conveyed upward.
