PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily display a plurality of images obtained, when photographs are taken under different photographic conditions. SOLUTION: A different shutter speed is input from a mode operating unit 24. An imaging sensor 13 is driven at a frame rate, corresponding to the fastest shutter speed among specified shutter speeds. A first image processing unit 36 generates an image, having the same effects as that of photographing at the fastest shutter speed. Simultaneously, a second signal processing unit 37 generates an image, having the same effects as that of photographing at the slowest shutter speed. The images generated by the first and second signal processing units 36 and 37 are composited by an image composition unit 39, and an image having the same effects as that of photographing with a fast shutter and an image having the same effects as that of photographing with a slow shutter are displayed, side by side, on the screen of an LCD 30, at the same time.
