PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device for making it unnecessary to confirm whether the searching end point of path finding is apart from the entrance of the destination or not when setting the destination. SOLUTION: A display range of "So-and-so Park" is superimposed on the position of a cursor 41 displayed in the center of a display screen by scrolling a map 40. The destination is set to "So-and-so Park" by operating an input device. After the destination was set, path finding is started by operating the input device. As a result, the searching end point is set to the position of a node nearest to the entrance 42 of "So-and-so" Park, that is, the position of an intersection 43, and a recommended route 44 to the intersection 43 is searched.
