<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately execute switching of regular use/standby even when delivery of status between a regular use system and a standby system cannot be performed owing to a communication failure of a network. <P>SOLUTION: A system monitoring device for monitoring the operation state of each main computer of regular use/standby systems includes a means for inputting operation table connecting state information showing a connecting state of the corresponding main computer with an operation table from this main computer, and MP connecting state information inputted by this main computer; a means for inputting system management information of the main computer of the other system by exchanging system management information including the operation modes and failure information of the respective main computers, which is connected with the system monitoring device of the other system by a system-to-system link means that is an exclusive communication line; and a means for determining whether the operation mode is changed, based on the input operation table connecting state information, MP connecting state information, and system management information, and outputting an operation mode change instruction, based on the determination result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
