PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus, information processing method, and a program with which subjects can be easily compared even between image data with different layouts of the subjects. SOLUTION: A subject is designated as a designation subject (step S501). Next, two or more pieces of image data each containing a subject whose deviation amount from the designation subject is a predetermined value or less are selected from a predetermined image data group (steps S502-S503). The two or more pieces of selected image data are then displayed on two or more display regions provided in a display means (steps S504-S505). At such a time, a subject whose deviation amount from the designation subject is the predetermined value or less is defined as a main subject, the layout and size of the main subject in the display region are adjusted so that the amount of deviation between the pieces of two or more image data becomes a predetermined value or less, and the two or more pieces of image data are then displayed.
