PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide "a disk player and a stepping motor controller" which achieves precise servo control even when steps are divided into many micro steps. SOLUTION: When the traverse signal TRVS becomes larger than a predetermined level Th, the micro drive signal A is changed to a value changing the rotation angleϕof the stepping motor 6 by one micro step angle in the direction decreasing the traverse signal TRVS. It is checked whether the traverse signal TRVS has changed to a value lower than the predetermined level Th, and if not changed, the micro drive signal is temporarily returned to the value before changing. Then, the micro drive signal A is changed to a value changing the rotation angleϕof the stepping motor 6 by two micro step angles in the direction decreasing the traverse signal TRVS (b, c).
